The HT-6510A is a REED Digital "A" Scale Durometer designed to measure the hardness of rubber, plastic and most non-metallic materials. Reed HT-6510A has 0.1 HA resolution, ±1 HA deviations and can measures the hardness in a range of 0 to 90 HA. Small in size to fit easily in the pocket, this Reed "A" Scale Durometer calculates average value, has RS232 serial interface and features a bright, clear, 4-digit high LCD display.

How to use Reed Digital "A" Scale Durometer (HT-6510A)

Test specimen Power your "A" Scale Durometer on and try to release the 'MAX' key till the specific mark shows on the instrument's display. Try to keep the Reed HT-6510A vertically how much is possible and put the indenter's point at least 12 mm from any edge. Without shock, apply the presser foot to the specimen as rapidly as possible while keeping the foot parallel to the surface of the specimen. Apply just sufficient force to obtain firm contact between the presser foot and the specimen. Hold for 1 or 2 seconds, the maximum reading can be obtained automatically. Just depress the 'ZERO' key to take the next measurement.
